Graduate Show | London College of Fashion

Last weekend I popped down to the Hoxton Gallery for Young and Hungry, the much hyped exhibition curated by LCF graduate Nicholas Rogers showcasing the work of a bunch of talented LCF students who weren’t featured in the recent BA15 show . There was loads of amazing work, fierce draq queens and a free bar so naturally it was a proper good night and there was a really good turn out. Russell Brand even stopped by (yassss).

A highlight of the show for me was the work of BA Womenswear student Hirday Gurung, with his white collection. I fell in love with it (and him) even more when he told me he used a shower curtain to make one of the garments. REPRESENT FOR THE KIDS  WHO CANT AFFORD FABRIC HONEY! Very SS27 hun, very postmodern hun, very that hun.

All the work was crazy good though and I left feeling well proud to be an LCF alum, but what I found even more impressive than the work was the fighting spirit of the students who refused to take no for an answer and made it happen for themselves, this is what makes us LCF students special; we’re young, we’re hungry and you cant take us honey!
